Audio Extra - 10th Annual Brewgrass Festival
Join Rick as he and his son enjoy some fantastic beers and listen to some great bluegrass music at the Brewgrass Festival in the Smokey Mountains of Asheville, NC - home of the Biltmore Estates. With 7 hours, 40 breweries, about 3 beers per brewer... the audio gets sloppy towards the end... even after being seriously edited.
This annual event hosted by the Great Smokies Craft Brewers Association and benefiting Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Western North Carolina is one of the most popular beer and bluegrass events in the Southeast.
Our Audio Extra's do not have intro's or outro's or much in the way of transitions between audio segments. This audio extra does feature music from a wonderful artist named RobinElla and the CC String Band. She's a regular in the Knoxville/Asheville music scene, but a new discovery for us.

Hey Rick, nice job man! Seriously. A solo effort like that couldn't be easy. You did a great job of reviewing the beers you tasted, and interacting with the crowd, and you got PASTED at the end to boot. Beauty!
Loved the whole «Pop the cap» discussion. It's always interesting to hear how states/counties are still overcoming old laws from the prohibition days, etc. I love hearing that stuff.
Glad the Punkin Ale was better this time around too. I'm sure our pallets were wrecked when we had it at the Stone Fest.
Very enjoyable. Glad you had your son along for the drive home. 😀
Cheers,
Clarke

Oh, and by the way, I saw this on your list:
«Highland Brewing Company Imperial Gaelic»
How was it?

Clarke, thanks for the note and the kind words. My son Alex bailed on me a little early, but Asheville was providing free bus service to and from the hotels. A very socially responsible act I think.
We try the Imperial Gaelic on Show 50. Which is already in the can and 90% edited. Just a little teaser to get you to listen in!

WHAT's THAT SPELL?!
DAMN!!! Seriously, that is impressive. What more could you ask for? Bluegrass and Beer Fest?
Good show. Impressed you were able to get all that into so little time.

Great job dude! That was impressive! I've actually had the Carolina beers before, not too bad! Looking forward to more «live» events from both of you!!
