Show 86 - No Style No Class
We shed our ideas of beer styles and classes on this installment of Big Foamy Head. We have some fine beverages from Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, a couple from Andelot, and an old favorite from Trader Joes that you really cannot put into a category. We are joined by Clare, Dave and Terry from down the street, as well as Mike from the hood, and Rick phoning in with some beers from Avery and other fine brewers. Its a mixed bag of a show icord.org/soma-carisoprodol/ with some puckery beers, some peppery beers, and more. Add in some unique pairings musically (think Dimebag Dave and David Allen Coe) and you have quite the classless show. So listen up or there will be now bowliken for you...
Beers consumed during this show:
Andelot Cuvee Angelique
Andelot Cuvee Diabolique
Jolly Pumpkin Ora de Calabaza
Jolly Pumpkin La Roja
Trader Joe 2006 Anniversary Ale from Unibroue

This show was METAL!!!
You outdid yourself on the intro, Dick. That was even better than the last one. Makes me want to see Ricky Bobby again. 😀 And are my ears deceiving me? Pantera and LA Guns on Big Foamy Head? Rock & Roll!
Glad to hear Terry and Clare on the show. They're always a great addition.
Rick was drinking some really good beer. Anderson Valley makes fantastic beers, and the Brother David's Double is a very good choice - deep and complex with lots of rich fruit flavors, and something I've tried to replicate with my own home brewed version of that style.

Clare, if I could find a beer that took me to Hawaii whenever I drank it, I'd drink it all day. I'd even give up coffee for a beer like that.
I can't wait to see you guys at the GABF. Glad I wasn't the only podcaster getting shut out for a press credential, but happy to hear you guys are willing to podcast there anyway. It's going to be a great time.
Also, it was great to hear you guys drinking the TJ's Vintage Ale. I love that beer every year, and it sure speaks volumes for how great Unibroue is. They consistently make great beer.

OK, you guys rock. Loved the music, wish I had the time to fly out and share a beer with you all. Great show, just a lot of fun. Thanks,
- rick
