Show 95 - Blues Beer Show

Welcome to a special Big Foamy Head show. We take a trip to downtown Memphis to see one of the legends of blues and the chitlin circuit, Bobby Rush. He put on a show in a very tiny venue. Too bad for him, that made it easy for us to get at him. Enjoy some real down home blues and the closest thing to Memphis you're going to get unless you get off your ass and come visit us.

Great show guys!! I just loved hearing about «the last juke joint» in MS from one of the artists. It was also great hearing about Chess Records domination of the Blues scene - particularly in Chi-Town. Bobby is obviously a prolific songwriter - did I hear correctly? Over 200 records! Wow. That puts the young pups to shame. So, Martin, what was your inspiration for asking Bobby about his inspirations? 😉 Just chiding you - great interview.

P.S. WISH I WAS THERE! Hey, I saw the Blues Foundation awards are in Tupelo this year - that's better then freezing your arse off outside in Memphis.

To answer your question Rick, I just imagined myself as Peter Jennings and let it go! I really enjoyed the show. You really missed out on a wonderful time!

I've long been a fan of Bobby Rush and have that very CD! and the Martin Scorzezy DVD. A big thank you for your support of good music through your show, I look forward to meeting you in person next August.

Joe if you like Bobby Rush, you have got to see him on this tour. He is a classic entertainer and has you wanting more. Just a man his guitar and his harmonica. It was a great show.
