Show 37 - Festival Beer Show
We relive the magic of the Memphis In May Musicfest and our beer-powered adventures. Lots of great music, beer and barbecue packed into a three day festival that saw us visiting the legends of rock and blues, eating our way through every form of barbecue, and Rick finds Jesus. Christy joins us in reliving the moments as well. In addition, we clean out our refrigerator again and have a mini-festival of beers while we reminisce. It was a great time and you can enjoy it with us.

In this action-packed episode of Big Foamy Head, we find our heroes getting small. No, not what you're thinking - we're exploring little known beers that you find around the country. Kenny hooked us up with beer from the Northwest. You can get more info on these beers at the links below. Also, our podcast friends sent us music from the Damon Fowler group - great blues at a low, low price. Throw in some beer news about Buddhist Monks and the women who love them and you've got a show. Prost!
The Silver Anniversary Show! Lots of good beer from Indiana and a great musical guest, Chris Love. We drink beer (duh) from the Upland Brewing Company, listen to Memphis music and try to sell a used
We are cleaning out the refrigerator on this show, enjoying some beer from the lower southern states of Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana. We also have a special musical guest, Nancy Apple, and talk to her about beer, livestock and morning drunks. Our janitorial guest Martin gets a little too carried away with our discussion of Brokeback Mountain. Finally, we give a shout out to our podcast friends Groucho and Chud at The Beer Report. Pour a cold one and enjoy this southern-fried show!
An extra packed show filled with Wisconsin beer, an interview with Joe Galea, some great tunes and Rick has a dream about ubiquitous spotted cows and fat squirrels. You'll have to listen to find out what this all means. Join us for that and a trip to the midwest's largest urinal!
We drink a classic beer - Leinenkuegel. Enjoy the beers with us while we visit with Lisa Morrison, the Beer Goddess and learn what she's been up to. Musical guests include Gary Primich and James Cotton from txmusicgroup.com, and a special guest from here in Memphis, Nancy Apple. We also have some beer news, sex and beer advertising, and some musical reviews.
We enjoy a number of Christmas beers and seasonal beers from around the country, and while obviously under the influence, deliver the year end accounting. Brewpub reviews, Christmas gifts and wish lists, and a Martha Stewart moment where my little girl teaches us to decorate beer bottles and create Reinbeer. All that, plus a whole lot of good music from Candye Kane, Doug Sahm, Syl Johnson, and our friend Joe Galea. This is a long show but full of entertainment. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
