Show 48 - Stone Anniversary Beer Show
We are getting Stoned on this show (cheap attempt at humor there) with some fantastic beer from Stone Breweries courtesy of the recent visit to their anniversary celebration by Rick. We have a lot of interviews from this celebration along with our podcast buddies from the Beer Report and Dude Night. Add in some music from longtime blues artist Robin Trower (yes, that same Robin Trower) and you have a great show.

In this episode we visit Florida, land of beaches, bikinis and... beer? Yep, we managed to find a bunch of beers that are native to Florida. Longtime listeners will recall a lot of complaining in earlier shows about the lack of creative beer in Florida. Well, we've uncovered some and are gonna share it with you. We also get into part one of a fascinating genre of music known as the Chitlin' Circuit. These are blues, soul and R&B performers still touring and putting out the same types of music from the Stax era. Fantastic stuff from Quinn Golden, Sir Charles Jones, and more. Warning: lots of bitching does occur on this show. We dispute the rumor that we like everything.
Join us as we get our hops on. This show features a great selection of hoppy beers, both British and American style IPAs. We talk with our pal James Spencer of Basic Brewing Radio about hops and how they can really make, or break, a beer style. Semi-scary, but beer-related story about Hop Devils (listen with the lights out). Musical guest du jour is Little Milton, a fantastic blues and soul legend. Some more chili discussion ensues, and we have some spicy man-style show snacks to go with our hoppy beers.
Join us as we enjoy some vinegar cayenne pepper sauce, great beers from the left coast and expose you to some class and culture. On tap are movie recommendations, a restaurant review, dead week celebrations and a bit of brilliant acting in a segment called «Master Beer Theater!» Music from Steven Segal, Elmore James, Paul Carrack and the North Mississippi All Stars. Friend of show Kenny joins us and tells us about his journey to the belly of the beast and other adventures.
Join us for some Polish Beer. We sample some great (but unpronounceable) beers brought to us by our FOS (Friend Of Show) Alan Young. Polish sausage is on the menu, beer reduced mustard and some great (non-Polish) blues.
